Glen Roethel is an award-winning singer-songwriter, accompanist (guitar and vocal), popular entertainer, and music producer. Blending influences from thousands of pop, folk, jazz, and rock songs in his repertoire, Roethel delivers a unique one-man-band sound to his own tender ballads, personal memoirs, light-hearted tunes, and soaring anthems which grace three self-produced solo CDs plus recordings for other artists. Modern-folk duo Friction Farm, is a husband and wife team of traveling troubadours. Aidan Quinn and Christine Stay, combine storytelling, social commentary and humor to create songs of everyday life, local heroes, and quirky observations. Their lyrically rich, harmony-driven songs earned them spots as Kerrville New Folk Finalists, Falcon Ridge Emerging Artists, and South Florida Folk Festival Songwriter winners. Friction Farm’s latest CD, “Evidence of Hope ” , which reached #10 on the Folk Radio Chart, was inspired by the collision of strong political polarity with personal kindness, the intersection of fragility and breathtaking beauty. Somehow Friction Farm nurtured hope through a pandemic.
Michele Gedney, of the duo, Open Book, started writing songs at 7 and spent the last 23 years performing and recording with her late husband, Rick Gedney.
Since Rick’s passing, Michele finished and released their fifth and final album, “Leaning In” in September 2023, to critical acclaim. She is a founding co-leader and teacher at Dar Williams’ “Writing a Song that Matters” retreat, in its 12th year. Michele’s songs are an honest expression of universal life experience, enabling listeners to connect intimately for a moving and beautiful shared musical experience. Her songs have received numerous awards and her song “Go” has been released by Cry Cry Cry (Williams, Kaplansky, Shindell) on their 2020 album,
“Live at the Freight”.
Aaron Nathans is a Philadelphia-based alternative folk music singer, songwriter and recording artist with a distinct sound, due in large part to a combination of rhythmic acoustic guitar, wide-ranging baritone vocals and beautiful melodies that you won’t soon forget. Originally from the UK, she’s made Provincetown, MA, her home for 30 years. She has traveled to over 70 countries, released ten albums, toured with the Indigo Girls, Judy Collins, Richie Havens, Nanci Griffiths and has even opened for Pat Benatar on the ukulele! Her music features in films, on Broadway, and Netflix’s StoryBots. Zoë has written three musicals, leads a 1920s jazz show, and her new album, “BLINK,” will debut in June.

His unique journey began with a songwriting mentorship from Tommy James, co-founding Alive ‘N Kickin’ and Brooklyn Dreams, and seeing his work recorded by iconic artists like Dolly Parton, Reba McEntire, Michael & Jermaine Jackson. But his most fruitful association began working with his future wife Donna Summer and co-writing her smash hit “Bad Girls”. The tragedy of her passing started Bruce on a new journey writing, recording, and touring for himself. Bruce’s musical capabilities blend philosophical, spiritual, love, and social consciousness ideas, expressing internal challenges with exquisite story telling.
