The Folk Project sponsors weekend-long festivals in the Spring and Fall in remote sections of rural New Jersey far from the madding crowd. Featured acts are established names or up-and-coming performers in the Folk Music world.

These events are held at Camp Fairview Lake in Stillwater, NJ (NW corner of the state near the confluence of NJ, NY, and PA). Participants and performers stay in heated cabins with hot showers available, or camp in tents. There are scheduled concerts, workshops, dances, a play, singalongs, jams, and lots of participatory music, scheduled and otherwise. Non-musical activities such as boating, hiking, Frisbee, etc. are also available. Activities take place at many sites around the campground, with indoor facilities for all scheduled music.

The usual festival dates are Mother's Day weekend (the weekend of the 2nd Sunday in May) and Columbus Day weekend (the weekend preceding the 2nd Monday in October), but check here for each Festival to be sure there is no change.
