John Roberts & Tony BarrandJOHN ROBERTS & TONY BARRAND have practically defined the genre of English folk song for a generation of American folk enthusiasts. They met as students at Cornell University and found that their voices and musical interests blended perfectly. From better known sources such as the Copper Family and Child to more obscure ones, this pair has gathered the crown jewels of the repertoire, and they present them with great harmony and dry wit. They often sing a cappella, but sometimes they accompany themselves on concertina, banjo, whistle, or other instruments. |

Modern ManMODERN MAN is what happens when three men with enormous funny bones and prodigious musical talent team up. David Buskin, George Wurzbach, and Rob Carlson are all superb musicians and singers in their own right. On top of that, they have a keen vision of the absurdities of modern life and the wit to reductio those absurdities ad absurdum, leaving audiences helplessly rolling on the floor in laughter. They have a great sense of parody, plus the musical chops to pull those parodies off with absolutely perfect and absolutely wrong renditions of the original songs. |

Joe CrookstonWhat strikes one first about JOE CROOKSTON's performance is the intensity. There is a palpable force behind the music that makes you sit up and take notice. On top of that, there is a sense of poetry and spirituality to his lyrics, and some pretty credible guitar chops and vocal power to lend support to his writing. |

Carla UlbrichA fan favorite on the long-running, nationally syndicated Dr. Demento show, award-winning songwriter and general smarty-pants CARLA ULBRICH has been compared to the likes of Ray Stevens, Christine Lavin, Jerry Seinfeld, Chet Atkins, and Jewel. The guy who said Jewel had been drinking heavily. |

Dugan's HooligansDUGAN'S HOOLIGANS is the family band of 14-year old fiddler Connor, 12-year old harper Sharlys, and a couple of assorted parents on rhythm and percussion. The kids are the real stars, and they play mostly Irish music with a proficiency that belies their ages. You don't have to make any allowances for their youth to enjoy their music. Watch for these kids in the future and remember that you saw them when. |

Christine DeLeonA recent addition to the Folk Project family, CHRISTINE DeLEON has made quite an impression on those who have heard her. With a strikingly clear and strong alto voice, she delivers her own well-written songs and those of her folk contemporaries with charm and conviction. |

Ellen MusikantA standout two years running at the New Jersey Storytelling Festival, ELLEN MUSIKANT awakens the pleasure of stories being told. With humor and vivid imagery, Ellen welcomes listeners into the storyscapes of the world's folk traditionsÑsometimes real, sometimes imagined, and always true. Ellen has something to tell you! |
