FP Logo Folk Project Winter Weekend

Winter Weekend is an unstructured event where participants can organize their time as they see fit: jam all day and night, discuss instruments, tuning, harmonies, etc., play cards, sit in front of the fire, do needlework, walk in the snow-covered woods or, if the weather is nice, sit outside and play. Most activities take place in and around a single, central building.

Being able to attend these events is a benefit of membership in the Folk Project.

Winter Weekend at the Silos

Friday-Sunday, February 25-27, 2005

Our 2005 Winter Weekend will be held once again at The Silos.

Registration for Winter Weekend 2005 is CLOSED

However, you can still take part in the fun by lodging off-site (www.harvestinnmotel.com is one option).

Also, Day Trippers are welcome to come for Saturday only.

The Silos is a converted barn (well, part of it is converted—the downstairs part is still a barn with all fittings and implements intact) in the Wallkill/Shawangunk, NY area, just one hour North of the NJ/NY border, about 22 minutes South of New Paltz. The house is really cool, with great acoustics and multi-level silos (hence the name) and lots of outdoorsy things to do in the vicinity. The acoustics are great, too—it's the perfect spot for a weekend musical loaf-fest.

Since we're holding this at a private home, some things will be different from the usual Winter Weekend

The suggested House Donation for the weekend will be $40, plus your share of food. Call Liz at (973) 429-0288, or email her at for details on registration.
