Booking Policies for the Folk Project Festivals

Our festivals are extremely small and intimate (about 200 attendance) weekend gatherings held in early May and early October. We generally book three featured concert performers, a dance band and caller, and four secondary concert performers from within the membership of the Folk Project. All performers are chosen by a committee.

Due to the extremely small and close nature of the Festivals, we generally select outside performers by our knowledge of them as people as well as musicians. As such, we almost never book acts solely on the basis of recorded or printed promo material, but after having heard them perform and meeting them.

Good places for us to see and get to know you are concert and festival venues in the Northeast. The absolutely best place for us to see you is at our sister venue The Minstrel Coffeehouse. If you would still like to send promo material to us, we will share it amongst the committee members and if we like what we hear we may make it a point to come see you perform and meet you. We make no promises, however.
