2019 NJ Uke Fest

Join us for the 2019 New Jersey Uke Fest, the Folk Project's seventh annual ukulele festival! The festival will be held at the Ukrainian American Cultural Center of New Jersey in Whippany, NJ on Friday, Aug. 23, and Saturday, Aug. 24, with an outdoor Jam on the Green in Morristown on Sunday, Aug. 25. We will have everything you've come to expect from a uke fest: concerts, workshops, vendors, an open mic, jams, and more!

Calling All New Jersey Teachers!

The 2019 New Jersey Uke Fest (NJUF) has been granted Professional Development status by the New Jersey Educational Association (NJEA). Teachers who attend the NJUF workshops can receive up to 6 hours of PD Credit.

Venues

On Friday, Aug. 23 and Saturday, Aug. 24, the New Jersey Uke Fest will be held at the Ukrainian American Cultural Center of New Jersey, 60C North Jefferson Road Whippany, NJ 07981. Get Directions »

On Sunday, Aug. 25, the uke fest's Jam on the Green will take place outdoors (weather permitting) on the Morristown Green, in the center of Morristown, NJ. Get Directions »

Friday, Aug. 23

7–7:30 p.m.: Pre-Fest entertainment by members of the Morristown Uke Jam under the Portico

7:30–10 p.m.: Concert: Rachel Manke, Gerald Ross

10–11 p.m.: Post-Concert Play-Along - All instruments welcome!

Saturday, Aug. 24

8:15–9:15 a.m. Registration

9:15 a.m. –12 Noon Workshops

12 Noon – 1 p.m.: Lunch and Open Mic Contest

1:00–5:30 p.m.: Workshops

5:30–7:30 p.m.: Dinner

7:30–10:30 p.m.: Concert: Christopher Davis-Shannon, Open Mic Contest Winner, Daniel Ward and Heidi Swedberg

Sunday, Aug. 25

10:30 a.m.: Jammin' on the Green with the Morristown Uke Jam Meetup Group
